It's almost Tisha B'Av, the day commemorating the destruction of the temples. What better way to prepare for this momentous day than to learn the history leading up to the day and the temple itself?
This tour focuses on the first and second temple periods, the thousand year period which ended with the destruction of the second temple in the year 70. The tour covers the City of David and the temple mount (without ascent to the temple mount itself**).
The tour begins at 8:00 at the City of David, on Sunday July 30, 2017 (30/7/17). Entrance fees are ~50 NIS, guiding fees are an additional 50 NIS per person.
The tour involves a lot of walking, including uphill and downhill and stairs*. Please wear comfortable walking shoes with good traction.
