Jerusalem, 586 BCE

The first temple stands in its glory on the temple mount, priests offer daily sacrifices, and Jews come from all over Judea three times a year to celebrate the festivals. King Zedekiah is determined to rebel against the Babylonian overlords. Jeremiah, the prophet, appeals to the people, urging them to surrender rather than fight, and thus avoid the destruction of the city of Jerusalem. Whose side do you take?
